Onus Pictures presents

Your first trade is on us.

ONUS pays the network fee for new people on Base, so you can start trading without owning any ETH. Your first trade is free. Hold ONUS and the house keeps covering your gas.

[BARTENDER] Put it on our tab, friend.

Rounds served–first trades paid for
On the house–gas covered, ETH

Official contract

Not launched yet

Any $ONUS token you see today is not ours. The only real contract address will be posted here and on @UseOnus. Never trust an address from a DM, a reply or another site.

Scene 01

Pull up a stool.

Connect a wallet, order your first trade, and we settle the gas. One round per new wallet while the tab lasts.

ONUS BAR

TABLE: NOT SEATED

INT. ONUS BAR – NIGHT
A stranger walks in. The bartender looks up.

Gas sponsorship needs a smart wallet that supports paying through a sponsor (Coinbase Smart Wallet works best).

Scene 02

The regulars drink free.

Stake ONUS and the house covers your gas every month. Out of free rounds? Pay the gas in ONUS instead of ETH.

Connect a wallet at the bar to open your tab.

House partners

Projects that stake ONUS get free gas for their own new users. Every partner is voted in by ONUS stakers.

No partners yet. The first one will be voted in below.

For projects: how to join
  1. Stake ONUS from your project wallet. Each 1,000 ONUS staked gives one sponsored action per month.
  2. Ask the ONUS team to put you up for a vote, with the contracts and functions you want sponsored.
  3. If stakers vote yes, point your app's paymaster at /api/paymaster/p/your-id on this site.

Scene 04

The regulars decide.

Staked ONUS is your voice. Votes are free signatures, weighted by your stake when you vote.

No votes yet.

Scene 05 · Behind the bar

We'd rather show you the kitchen.

ONUS isn't live yet. Here is exactly where the build is, what isn't solved, and what we're doing about it. No countdowns and no promises about price.

Where the build is

  1. Done

    Smart contracts written and tested

14 automated tests, including 1,000 randomised runs and a simulated re-entry attack. All pass.

  2. Done

    App and gas sponsor built

35 automated tests of the rules that protect the tab: one free trade per person, no replays, spending caps.

  3. Done

Full flow on a test blockchain

Stake, send, unstake, withdraw and vote run end to end on a local chain. 12 of 12 checks pass.

  4. In progress

    Public testnet on Base Sepolia

Real wallets and a real gas sponsor, with free test tokens. Nothing of value at stake.

  5. After that

    Mainnet launch

Only once every step above is done. Not before.

The honest tab

The perks are small in money

What's trueGas on Base costs cents, so free rounds save you little in cash.

What we're doingWe sell convenience, not savings: no ETH to buy first, no failed first trade. And we grow the pass by adding partners where it works.

Paying for gas means selling

What's trueGas is paid in ETH. Today the tab gets that ETH by converting ONUS, which puts pressure on the price.

What we're doingThe treasury wallet will be public and every sale follows a schedule we publish in advance. Our goal is to fund gas from partner payments, so the tab sells less over time.

Not battle-tested yet

What's trueEverything is tested in our own setup, not yet against the live services it depends on.

What we're doingPublic testnet first, then an outside audit. Real money only after both.

Built on Coinbase's rails

What's trueBase, Smart Wallet and the anti-bot check come from Coinbase. If they change their terms, we have to adapt.

What we're doingThe app already works with any wallet that supports gas sponsorship, and partners can choose not to require the Coinbase check.

It's still a memecoin

What's trueONUS has no promised returns and can lose all of its value. A use case doesn't change that.

What we're doingSaying it plainly, here and everywhere we talk about ONUS.
